Philippe Boonen decides to represent her in a jungle, the natural habitat of her beloved chimpanzees. The particularity of the painting lies in the gaze of the protagonist: a pair of Apus Apus (common swift), a typical bird from Africa and Jane's favourite one, known to remain in uninterrupted flight for almost a year. The original painting formed part of an auction for the Jane Goodall Institute, which has been committed for years to give voice to Jane's cause. Print available.
